Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the position of Bartender at Fernie Alpine Resort. Reporting to the manager on duty, the ideal candidate will be an energetic individual with a positive attitude and be teamwork-oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Duties:

  • To ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
  • To assist and upsell guests at every opportunity
  • Provide exceptional service to all guests in the restaurant
  • Take beverage orders, mix, serve, finalize sales as per Cirque standards
  • Practice approved food handling procedures and ongoing cleanliness
  • Serve and promote Ice Bar
  • Abide by all RCR policies and Safety Management Program
  • Other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager
  • Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
  • To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

Qualifications:

  • Previous bartending experience required
  • Wine pairing and service knowledge required
  • Food Safe Certificate an asset
  • Serving it Right certification required
