Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the role of Cash Audit at Fernie Alpine Resort.  Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position requires the ideal candidate to have previous data entry experience, will be a clear communicator, and have an excellent knowledge of Excel.  Previous accounting or financial experience is an asset.

Duties:

  • Reconcile cash outs from all departments / hotels at Fernie Alpine Resort and enter data into Excel cash sheet
  • Prepare daily bank deposit
  • Handle cash, credit card receipts and keep the safe balanced
  • Assist with accounts receivable as required
  • Support manager with month-end duties, balance cash sheets and issue and return floats
  • Perform other related accounting department duties as required
  • Read and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the RCR Employee Handbook
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Understand and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
  • To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Excel
  • Organized, independent worker
  • Attention to detail and financial responsibility required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and work ethics
  • Cash handling experience preferred

This is a full-time winter seasonal position (40h / week). The position requires flexibility based on business volumes and may include weekend / overtime work. RCR offers industry competitive compensation and benefits in a great working environment.
