Fernie Alpine Resort is looking to fill the position of Front Desk Supervisor at Lizard Creek Lodge. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the ideal candidate will supervise the front office team in delivering on the Lodge’s purpose of giving our guests the gift of a place they can dream of. They will have strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and enjoy working in a team. Supervise all reservation and room assignment activities, respond to and resolve any guest issues, unusual requests and inquiries in line with our guest service philosophy. Duties:

  • To ensure consistency and excellence in all operations of the Front Desk at two hotels
  • Monitor and sustain Standard Operating Procedures of the Front Desk at two hotels
  • Ensure that the appearance and conduct of the Front Desk team is at all times consistent with the resort brand
  • Train, coach and develop a successful and enthusiastic team of Front Desk employees
  • Supervise scheduling in accordance with employment policies
  • Complete payroll processes in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments to fulfil the overall resort objectives
  • Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return to Work Programs
  • To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

 

Qualifications:

  • Front Office experience with proven experience in maintaining superior standards
  • Experience in positively leading a team
  • Proficient in English both verbally and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook)

 

This is a full-time year round role requiring flexibility to meet varying business demands including weekend shifts.
