You’re an amazing chef who loves the outdoors and totally gets how to make meals the highlight of any trip. Your fresh, delicious creations, not only nourish, but also inspire people to look forward to every meal.  We’re now seeking a reliable, hardworking responsible Head Chef work in conjunction with the Restaurant Manager in the smooth kitchen operations of the food service catering for groups of 20-100 international skiers and snowboarders who are here to take part in NONSTOP Ski & Snowboard multi-week camps and courses.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsible for overseeing the smooth operations of the kitchen for the group service.

Create (or update the existing) seasonal meal plan based on a 32-dinner rotation, using our existing meal format.

Prepare and cook complete meals, within the agreed budget and to a high standard.

Hiring and managing kitchen staff.

Supervise and assist in training cooks and kitchen staff preparation, cooking, presentation of food and other procedures.

Communicate with Chef, managers and NONSTOP course hosts to plan upcoming meal requirements.

Manage maintenance and repair of restaurant equipment, stock takes, ordering, receiving and storage of food, maintaining a high level of kitchen cleanliness

Assist with emergency or staffing situations as needed.

Any other tasks for the smooth running of the restaurant.

 

Experience Required:

  • Chef training education
  • Previous experience as a head chef
  • Several years of experience in commercial food preparation
  • Catering to groups and long stay guests.
  • Must have a valid work permit

 

Package:

  • Start date: 20 November 2024.
  • End Date: 9 April 2025
  • Hours: Full time
  • Pay rate $31/hour.
  • A discounted season ski pass is available.

 

Staff accommodation may be available.
