Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the position of Lost Boys Café kitchen staff at Fernie Alpine Resort.  Reporting to the Mountain Food and Beverage Manager, the ideal candidate will have previous F&B experience, will be an excellent communicator with a customer service orientation and keen to work in a mountain environment.  Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:


  • To ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
  • To assist and upsell guests at every opportunity
  • Maintaining policies and procedures of RCR and F&B department
  • Ensuring a clean and safe working environment by following proper HACCP procedures
  • Prepare menu items and food products as per outlet standards
  • Ski in and out inventory and garbage
  • Proper rotation procedures (FIFO)
  • Restocking the area as necessary and after peak times
  • Daily cleaning duties
  • Communication with your teammates / multitasking / teamwork
  • Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
  • To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable



  • Must be outgoing, engaging personality
  • Must be physically capable to lift heavy objects
  • Must be a team player, strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in the service industry required
  • ‘Food Safe’ and ‘Serving it Right’ certification an asset
  • Must be an intermediate skier
