Park Place Lodge is currently seeking a bright, energetic and motivated individual to join our maintenance team. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager the Property Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of all company facilities, including the upkeep of the grounds and buildings. This position will be ideal for a candidate who is comfortable working with minimal supervision. This position will be a 5-day week schedule *must be open to working weekends. 

The duties of this position include but not limited to:

  • Inspecting grounds, buildings, equipment and systems to identify any issues are required.
  • Repairing faulty equipment units and damages structures
  • Managing heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality
  • Conducting periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard
  • Performing general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting and carpentry.
  • Maintaining inventory records for equipment and supplies
  • Completing daily duties and utilizing checklists and Upkeep System
  • Being prepared in case of an emergency
  • Keep employee & maintenance manuals up to date
  • Assist in planning and implementing all special projects with the Maintenance Manager.
  • Interact with all departments to ensure all maintenance standards are met.
  • Responsible for safeguarding the quality of operations and responding to audits.
  • Assisting with housekeeping or janitorial/grounds maintenance tasks are required.
  • Assisting unit checks for owner and guests check ins/outs.
  • Assisting with pool maintenance and upkeep
  • Assisting with construction projects when required.

Our ideal candidate for this position will:

  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Good work ethic with attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in general construction and painting is preferred
  • Comfortable working with various power tools and trade equipment when required.
  • Able to take direction from Senior Management and work unsupervised.
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
