                                                           Working Sous-Chef

The Nonstop offers rewarding employment in a fun and sociable work environment.  We’re now seeking a reliable, hardworking responsible Sous Chef to assist the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager in the smooth kitchen operations of the food service catering for groups of international skiers and snowboarders who are here to take part in NONSTOP Ski & Snowboard multi-week camps and courses.

Roles & Responsibilities

 

Prepare and cook complete meals for our international ski groups, within the agreed budget and to a high standard.

Supervise and assist in training cooks and kitchen staff preparation, cooking, presentation of food and other procedures.

Maintain high level of kitchen cleanliness through regular and deep cleaning.

Communicate with Chef, managers and NONSTOP course hosts to plan upcoming meal requirements

Assist Head Chef with stock takes, ordering, receiving and storage of food.

Help manage maintenance and repair of restaurant equipment.

Assist with emergency or staffing situations as needed.

Any other tasks for the smooth running of the restaurant.

 

Experience Required

  • Chef training and several years of experience in commercial food preparation, including two years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Previous experience as a sous chef, specialist chef or chef
  • Understanding of professional cooking & knife handling skills
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
  • Must have a valid work permit

$24-$25/hour
