Miner’s Mud is a coffee trailer serving fair trade, organic coffee and homemade baked goods to fuel your adventures. We are looking for a hardworking, professional individual to join our team!

Duties:

• Interact with customers
• Provide product details and answer any questions
• Make suggestions about what to try/your favorites
• Take orders
• Make and serve specialty coffee and tea beverages
• Accept and process payment
• Bake, prep and manage daily baked good inventory
• Participate in stocktakes and assist in putting away new stock
• Washing and sanitizing dishes, cutlery, and cooking utensils
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation within the trailer and around the perimeter
• Cleaning café equipment such as coffee grinders, espresso machines as per cleaning schedule
• Complete daily opening and closing duties
• Support with social media content and posting

Responsibilities:

• Create a genuine moment of connection with customers – making a difference in their day by discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication
• Work flexible hours that may include early mornings, weekends and/or holidays
• Be knowledgeable about all our products (where they come from, ingredients etc)
• Openness to getting the job done and helping your team in a dynamic environment.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines
• Be punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance
• Adhere to recipes and presentations for food and beverage items
• Contribute to a positive team environment
• Honest, transparent, and open communication
• Engaged within the workplace by providing ideas and suggestions
• Promote Miner’s Mud within your network and community
• Bring up any issues or grievances as soon as they arise with management

Qualifications and Skills:

• Food Safe Level 1 or equivalent required
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Barista, baking and/or serving experience an asset
• Creative and experience social media an asset
• Willingness to adapt, be flexible and contribute to a high functioning team
• Tidy and self disciplined
• Detail oriented and passionate about quality
• Friendly, outgoing, and dedicated to outstanding customer service
• Quick thinking and ability to independently problem solve
• Experienced and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable managing difficult conversations
