We are seeking a bright, energetic individual to join our maintenance team. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Facilities Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for the day to day maintenance of the facilities, including the upkeep of the grounds and buildings.
The duties of this position include but are not limited:
– Inspecting grounds, buildings, equipment and systems to identify any issues are required.
– Repairing faulty equipment units and damages structures
– Managing heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality
– Conducting periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard
– Performing general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting and carpentry.
– Maintaining inventory records for equipment and supplies
– Completing daily duties and utilizing checklists and Upkeep System
– Being prepared in case of an emergency
– Keep employee & maintenance manuals up to date
– Assist in planning and implementing all special projects with the Maintenance Manager.
– Interact with all departments to ensure all maintenance standards are met.
– Responsible for safeguarding the quality of operations and responding to audits.
– Assisting with housekeeping or janitorial/grounds maintenance tasks are required.
– Assisting unit checks for owner and guests check ins/outs.
– Assisting with pool maintenance and upkeep
– Assisting with construction projects when required.
Job Requirements:
Have a VALID WORK PERMIT & BC Driving License
Good work ethic.
Experience in general construction is ideal but not a prerequisite.
Comfortable working with various power tools, equipment as required.
Able to take direction and work unsupervised.
Able to work indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions.
