IMMEDIATE START – Park Vacation Management is seeking fun loving, reliable, hardworking candidate to join our team for the summer, fall and upcoming winter seasons at Griz Inn and Cornerstone Lodge at Fernie Alpine Resort. This is a FULL TIME position must be available to work 5 days per week, including weekends and holidays.
Must have a VALID WORK PERMIT and OWN VEHICLE to get to and from the ski hill
Our Guest Services & Housekeeping Attendant role covers multiple areas of the hotel; you will be trained to work in both Guest Services and Housekeeping. Our ideal candidate will have a flexible work schedule, with the ability to work on weekends and holidays. Staff must be enthusiastic and friendly, possess excellent customer service skills and a keen eye for detail to take care of privately owned condos at the ski hill. Condos range from studios to 3 bedroom plus loft properties with fully equipped kitchens. We require our applicants to be of a clean and professional appearance, to be organized, and to be able to work with minimal supervision
Job Requirements:
Our Guest Services Attendants must be comfortable talking on the phone, are friendly and have good energy. Attendants also need to be comfortable working with computers and able to quickly learn and navigate our reservations software. Experience in hospitality, front of house, customer service, etc. is an asset, but not required. Guest Services Attendants are responsible for:
- checking-in/out guests,
- taking phone reservations,
- responding to guest requests,
- providing information about Fernie and area, etc.
Depending on time of season, our Guest Services & Housekeeping Attendant will also support the housekeeping staff. Housekeeping duties requires a candidate who will be comfortable working under pressure, will be in good physical condition, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including but not limited to: handling heavy loads, working on their feet for extended periods of time, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, or sitting. This includes:
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
- Dusting furniture and other surfaces
- Maintaining draperies and upholstered furniture
- Making beds, changing sheets
- Distributing clean towels and toiletries
- Stocking linen closet and supply areas
- Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchens and bathrooms
- Pick up debris and empty garbage
- Attend to guest needs or requests for supplies as needed
- Report and store lost and found items
- Provide basic information on hotel facilities
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in public washrooms
- Washing windows, walls, glass enclosures, and ceilings when required
