Park Vacation Management (PVM) is seeking a skilled and hands-on Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations across all PVM-managed facilities, including the Park Place Lodge (PPL). This role is ideal for a proactive leader with strong technical expertise and a commitment to excellence in building maintenance, guest satisfaction, and team development.

This is a hands on leadership role, working closely with the PVM and PPL Senior Management team to coordinate all maintenance team members and maintenance tasks to ensure an excellent owner or guest experience.

The duties of this position include but are not limited:

– Lead daily activities of the maintenance team related to all aspects of building and facilities maintenance

– Manage staff relationships as well as hiring, training, and supervision of staff; orientate, train and mentor staff in proper maintenance, repair, and safety procedures.

– Assign, schedule, and monitor work orders to ensure timely completion.

– Set up and assign work for Maintenance Team on days when not present in the building

– Promptly inform Senior Management of unusual situations that may require additional intervention

– Conduct performance evaluations and ensure consistent quality standards from all maintenance team members

– Ensuring daily duties are being performed and checklists are being utilized. Ensuring the continued implementation of Upkeep property management system.

– Work with Abbey Stapleton to ensure Upkeep is used properly

– Being a working hands-on manager and leading by example; performing general maintenance tasks including building inspections, faulty equipment repair, managing heating and plumbing systems, pool maintenance, landscaping, painting and carpentry.

– Conducting periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard

– Maintaining inventory records for equipment and supplies

– Being prepared in case of an emergency

– Keep employee & maintenance manuals up to date

– Assist in planning and implementing all special projects with the PVM and PPL Senior Management team.

– Responsible for Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements.

– Ensure the submission of biweekly timesheets to the Accounts Payable Department (Wendy)

– Create and implement a calendar of works for seasonal tasks and projects

– Be on call for serious emergency outside of normal working hours

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in building or facilities maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or property management environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Solid understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
