Park Place Lodge is seeking a motivated and reliable Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. This role supports the Housekeeping Manager in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction throughout the property.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys working as part of a team while maintaining strong attention to detail and operational efficiency. This position plays an important role in supporting daily housekeeping operations and leading the team to consistently meet the hotel’s service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Housekeeping Manager in establishing, implementing, and overseeing operational standards within the Housekeeping Department.
- Assist with the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Manage departmental operations and janitorial responsibilities in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.
- Plan and assign daily tasks and room assignments for housekeeping and laundry staff.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and hotel standards are consistently maintained.
- Monitor housekeeping inventory, maintain supply levels, and order products when required, including restocking supply rooms throughout the hotel.
- Assist with the training and supervision of up to 10 housekeeping and laundry team members.
- Provide feedback to support staff performance evaluations and team development.
- Foster a positive, supportive work environment by leading by example and motivating team members to meet expectations.
- Communicate suggestions and feedback to help improve department efficiency and overall team performance.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair requests with the appropriate departments when required.
- Ensure health, safety, and departmental policies are followed at all times.
- Assist with staff scheduling when required to ensure coverage aligns with hotel occupancy demands.
- Act as a hands-on working supervisor, assisting with general housekeeping and laundry duties when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
- Physically able to perform housekeeping duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
