Job Opportunity: Office Administrator (Part-Time With Full-Time Potential)

We are currently hiring a Part-Time Office Administrator, with weekend shifts and holiday coverage in January and February, followed by the opportunity for full-time hours beginning in April as the company continues to grow. 

In Summer, help promote our rafting and adventure activities, this season becomes fast-paced and fun, and we need an upbeat, energetic team player who can confidently share that excitement with customers and help sell the stoke! In Winter, the focus shifts more toward transportation services, but it’s equally lively, offering great opportunities to engage with local hockey teams, holidaymakers, and visitors heading to and from the ski hill. 

Position Details 

  • Job Type: Part-time (Weekend + January and February holiday coverage) 
  • Full-Time Opportunity: April 2025 onward. We’re ideally looking for someone who can commit for at least a year, so please apply if you intend to stay in Fernie past the winter season. 
  • For the right candidate: Ongoing Saturdays and every second Friday until April – Flexible for the right candidate ● Pay: $18–$23 per hour, depending on experience 
  • Location: In person, Fernie, BC 

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Support the Operations Manager with daily administrative and operational tasks 
  • Maintain and update office policies and procedures 
  • Audit private charter itineraries for regulatory compliance 
  • Ensure all vehicles have correct insurance and documentation
  • Coordinate logistics for YYC & YXC airport transfers 
  • Audit the POS system, follow up on outstanding payments, and work with the POS supervisor on improvements ● Act as the main point of contact for employees and internal communication 
  • Greet clients and answer phone calls professionally and positively 
  • Manage emails and uphold a 24-hour response policy 
  • Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate invoices, payments, receipts, and cashouts ● Support Sales & Marketing with private charter bookings and content creation 
  • Assist with social media management and marketing initiatives 
  • Update website copy, products, images, and availability 
  • Manage Google Reviews and customer feedback 
  • Organise vehicle binders, permits, insurance, and driver logs 
  • Manage office supplies and maintain a clean, tidy workspace

  • Adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a team 
  • Detail-oriented, with solid problem-solving abilities 
  • Comfortable with technology, including Excel and Google Drive
