This role sits at the heart of our business—supporting operations, logistics, compliance, and internal coordination across all seasons.
Seasonal Focus
- Summer: High-volume adventure and rafting operations, private charters, logistics coordination, and customer communications
- Winter: Transportation services, airport transfers, team travel, and charter scheduling
The pace changes, but the responsibility and impact stay consistent.
Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Commitment: Minimum 1 year (please apply only if you plan to stay in Fernie beyond winter)
- Pay: $18–$23/hour, depending on experience
- Location: In person, Fernie, BC
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Operations Manager with daily administrative, logistics, and operational tasks
- Coordinate and audit private charter itineraries for accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Manage logistics for YYC and YXC airport transfers
- Ensure vehicles are properly documented with current insurance, permits, and records
- Organize and maintain vehicle binders, driver logs, and compliance documentation
- Audit POS systems, follow up on outstanding payments, and assist with process improvements
- Act as a key point of contact for internal communication with drivers and staff
- Manage emails and phone calls with a professional, solution-focused approach
- Maintain a 24-hour response standard for communications
- Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate invoicing, payments, receipts, and cashouts
- Support Sales & Marketing with private charter bookings and operational coordination
- Assist with website updates, scheduling availability, and product listings
- Monitor and respond to Google Reviews and customer feedback
- Maintain office organization, supplies, and operational systems
- Provide occasional transportation support when required, including driving company vehicles to assist with charters, airport transfers, or operational coverage
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (Class 2 or Class 4 preferred) with a clean driving abstract
- Willingness and confidence to operate company vehicles when needed
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented with proactive problem-solving abilities
- Professional, friendly communicator
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable and calm under pressure
- Tech-comfortable (Excel, Google Drive, POS systems, scheduling tools)
