We’re looking for a charismatic, reliable, and energetic cocktail bartender / server to join our passionate team at the Fernie Distillers this Winter and beyond. Whether you’re mixing up a classic gin martini or shaking up one of our signature cocktails, you’ll be the personality that keeps our guests coming back for more.
What You’ll Do:

Serve up drinks with speed, flair, and a smile; even under pressure when busy.

Maintain a clean, organized bar area; restocking as needed and setting it up well for the next shift.

Keep an eye on all aspects of the room from the moment people walk in, to the moment they leave; creating experiences for each individual.

Recommend drinks to customers and give them detailed insight into our spirits; knowledge is essential to our offering.

Handle busier nights like a pro and keep the good vibes going; making the customer feel like your number one priority and your team feel supported.

Make syrups, juices, infusions and garnishes; prep is a big part of everyone’s role.

Contribute to new menu ideas and cocktail specials incorporating fun flavours and seasonal spirits.
What We’re Looking For:

Previous bartending is essential; you must be comfortable making multiple styles of cocktails, with a strong knowledge of drink recipes & bar tools.

Excellent communication and hospitality skills with the ability to make a customer feel comfortable in our space; sharing local knowledge and taking a genuine interest.

Positive attitude with a team player mentality; you are able to build up and support your team members. There is no role-only job here; every one helps with all aspects.

Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays; with a working visa / residency that is valid until at least May 2026. Flexibility is preferred.
