Münter Design & Build is hiring experienced carpenters to join our team in Fernie.

We build high-quality custom homes and are looking for skilled, reliable carpenters who take pride in clean, accurate work. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants steady work, interesting projects, and a professional team environment.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work on custom residential builds from framing through to finishing, depending on your experience. Work may include:

• Framing walls, floors, roofs, decks, and structural components
• Installing windows, doors, backing, blocking, stairs, and exterior details
• Reading plans and following construction drawings
• Working with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades
• Supporting high-performance building details, air sealing, and quality control
• Completing general carpentry tasks safely and efficiently
• Helping keep the job site clean, organized, and productive

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for carpenters who are:

• Experienced in residential construction
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Comfortable reading plans and working from drawings
• Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and standard carpentry equipment
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and proud of good workmanship
• Safety-minded and respectful on site

Red Seal certification is an asset, but not required. We are more interested in skill, attitude, reliability, and the ability to do quality work.

A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are preferred.

Pay

$35+/hour based on experience, skill level, and ability to work independently. Higher wages available for strong carpenters, lead hands, and candidates with proven framing, finishing, or custom home experience.
