Nufloors Fernie is hiring!

We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated individual to join our team in a versatile General Labourer position.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, likes variety in their day, and is interested in learning new skills.

As part of our team, you’ll assist with warehouse operations, store maintenance, flooring installation support, window covering installations, and occasional deliveries.

No two days will necessarily look the same!

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Store Operations

• Receive, unload, organize, and prepare flooring materials and other products.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse, showroom, and storage areas.
• Assist with inventory management and material handling.
• Perform general maintenance and upkeep of the store, warehouse, and property.
• Prepare and load materials for installation crews.

Installation Support

• Assist flooring and tile installers on residential and commercial projects as needed.
• Help with material handling, job-site preparation, and cleanup.
• Learn basic flooring installation techniques and procedures.
• Assist with measuring and installing blinds, shades, and other window coverings.
• Work professionally and respectfully in customers’ homes and businesses.

Deliveries & Transportation

• Assist with local deliveries and material pickups.
• Potentially complete freight runs between Fernie and Calgary a few times per month.
• Safely load, secure, and transport materials.
• Help maintain company vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is dependable, punctual, and has a strong work ethic.
• Enjoys physical, hands-on work.
• Is mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Is organized and pays attention to detail.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Is physically capable of lifting and moving heavy materials safely.
• Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Holds a valid driver’s licence with a good driving record.
• Takes pride in their work and is willing to help wherever needed.

Experience in any of the following would be an asset:

• Construction or general labour
• Flooring or tile installation
• Warehouse operations
• Window covering installation
• Delivery driving
• Forklift operation
• General building maintenance

Previous experience is an asset, but not required. We’re happy to train the right person!
