Are you a certified Journeyman or Apprentice Autobody Technician that wants to work and live in a place with amazing fishing, hiking, skiing and snowmobiling while earning top wages (higher than any competing Autobody Shop). If so, then this is your opportunity!!!
Since 1998 TJ’s Autobody has been Fernie’s go-to Autobody Shop and we’re looking to add to our amazing team. We work on all makes and models of vehicles, including electric vehicles, in a well laid out shop, using industry leading tools. We offer leading wages (or flat rates) depending on your experience, in addition to a Productivity Incentive Program.
THE DETAILS • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent • Salary: $36 – $40+ per hour • – (Plus 65% Productivity Incentive Program) • – Flat rate options also available • Schedule: 8 hour shift • Location: Fernie, BC. (live in Fernie, Elkford, Sparwood, Jaffray…)
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING • Remove badly damaged sections of vehicles (ie. trunk lid, roof, rear body panels) and weld in new sections. • Remove minor damage in body panels, fenders, skirting and sheet metal trim, and weld torn metal. • Repair or replace interior and exterior components such as instrument panels, seat frame assemblies, carpets and floorboard insulation, trim panels and moldings. • Inspect vehicles for dimensional accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS • Auto Body Technician journeyman ticket or Red Seal certification • I-CAR platinum certifications and training • Aluminum training/experience is a bonus
APPRENTICESHIPS • Individuals applying should have their industry ticket, however 2nd or 3rd year apprentices will also be considered with the right experience.
