$42–$48/hour + Benefits + Year-Round Work
Freestone Construction is looking for an experienced Lead Hand Carpenter to join our team.
We build custom homes, major renovations, additions, and structural projects throughout Fernie and the Elk Valley. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can lead a crew, and wants to be part of a company focused on quality craftsmanship.
What You’ll Be Doing:
✔ Leading carpenters and apprentices on site
✔ Coordinating daily work and maintaining project schedules
✔ Reading and interpreting construction drawings
✔ Performing hands-on carpentry including framing, structural work, renovations, and finishing details
✔ Maintaining a safe, organized, and productive job site
✔ Working closely with project management and subcontractors
What We’re Looking For:
✔ 5+ years of carpentry experience
✔ Strong framing and renovation skills
✔ Previous leadership experience
✔ Ability to work independently and solve problems
✔ Valid driver’s license
✔ Red Seal certification is an asset
