Nufloors Fernie is looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Paint Department Manager to lead our Benjamin Moore Paint Department. We are a locally owned, family-oriented business that takes pride in quality products, expert advice, and exceptional customer service.

About the Role
As the Paint Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Benjamin Moore paint department while actively working to grow and expand the business. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role is ideal for someone entrepreneurial who is driven to increase sales, build relationships, and elevate the department.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage and operate the Benjamin Moore paint department
• Provide expert advice on paint products, colour selection, and application techniques
• Oversee retail sales activities, including pricing strategies, merchandising, and promotional campaigns to maximize revenue
• Handle customer service inquiries with professionalism, utilizing phone etiquette and strong communication skills to resolve issues promptly
• Mix and tint paint accurately using in-store systems
• Maintain inventory, place orders, and manage stock levels
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized store environment
• Ensure department is clean, organized, and visually appealing
• Build strong relationships with homeowners, contractors, and designers
• Proactively seek out new business opportunities and grow paint sales
• Assist with merchandising and product displays
• Work collaboratively with the flooring and sales teams

What We’re Looking For
• Experience in paint sales, retail, or a related field (preferred)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
• Interest in colour, design, and home improvement
• Comfortable learning technical aspects of paint systems and products
• Self-motivated with a drive to grow and expand the department
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
