Ski Base is seeking a part-time staff member to work on our busy retail floor on our beautiful store in downtown Fernie. We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic individual who can deliver exceptional customer service and assist with keeping the store looking good.
The position will require a minimum 3 day/week commitment – 24-32 hours/week in our high summer season. Must be available for weekend shifts. Potential to grow into a long term position with the company for the right candidate.
$21-$23/hr. Wage dependent on experience.
Desired skills and demonstrated experience:
- Friendly, approachable and enthusiastic about helping people
- Interest in outdoor gear and apparel
- A self-starter who can keep themselves on task and prioritize effectively
- Ability to multi-task and handle varying situations
- Experience working with a retail POS system and cash handling (but can train!)
- Professional communicator, both verbal and written
- Visual merchandising experience an asset – an eye for detail, creativity, cleanliness
- Continuous learner and open to expanding skillset into other operations of the business
