Day2Day Books is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping knowledge, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, and is able to manage multiple client accounts while delivering accurate and timely financial records.

Compensation & Schedule

  • $27.00–$32.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • 20–36 hours per week
  • 100% remote position

What You’ll Do

  • Manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of small business clients.
  • Maintain accurate financial records using.
  • Use Dext to collect, organize, and process receipts and source documents.
  • Organize and manage client documentation.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Process payroll and ensure payroll remittances are completed accurately and on time. 
  • Prepare GST/PST filings and other routine government remittances.
  • Complete month-end reconciliations and prepare financial reports.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding bookkeeping questions and outstanding information.
  • Host virtual client meetings to review financial information, discuss bookkeeping matters, and provide updates.
  • Confidently call clients to answer questions, request information, and build strong working relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Day2Day Books team to ensure clients receive accurate, timely, and exceptional service.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficient with QuickBooks Online, Dext, Harvest, Microsoft Excel, Asana, Google Drive, and Google Workspace. 
  • Strong understanding of Canadian bookkeeping principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable leading client meetings and making phone calls to clients on a regular basis.
  • Professional, friendly, and confident when interacting with clients.
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
