FSC is looking for another trainer to join our team!
Our ideal person has a background in Personal Training, Kinesiology, or something similar, along with their own solid experience and interest in strength training.
Coaching experience is definitely an asset, but you don’t need to walk in knowing everything. We’re happy to mentor the right person, give you time to shadow our trainers and classes, and help you become comfortable coaching the FSC way.
More important than knowing every exercise in the book is sharing the same philosophy about training that we do.
At FSC, we believe in quality over quantity. We don’t make workouts hard just for the sake of making them hard, and we don’t think leaving a class completely exhausted is the sign of a great workout. There’s a time to work hard and challenge yourself, absolutely — but there should also be a reason behind what we’re doing.
We’re looking for a trainer who believes in that approach too.
Someone who understands that a great coach isn’t just the person who can make people sweat – it’s someone who can teach, pay attention, make adjustments and help the person in front of them get the most out of their training. And who genuinely cares about the women in the gym
Our members range from complete beginners who are nervous about walking into a gym, to women who have been strength training with us for years. They’re different ages, different abilities and have different goals, so being able to meet people where they’re at is a big part of the job.
We currently have an opening for someone who is available before noon Wednesdays, and some evenings.
We also have room for a weekend Group Fitness Instructor!
Maybe strength coaching isn’t your background, but you’re great at leading a room, bringing some energy and making people actually look forward to working hard. We’d love to hear from you too. The same philosophy applies: thoughtful, well-coached movement over simply trying to make a class as hard as possible.
Both opportunities are part-time, with the potential for more as you grow into the role.
More than anything, we’re looking for the right person to add to our FSC team. Someone who wants to learn, cares about doing a good job, shares our approach to training, and genuinely enjoys helping women get stronger.
Think that might be you? Send us an email to amanda@ferniestrength.com and tell us a little about yourself and your experience.
